The Throwaway Society is the title and guiding thread of this group exhibition held in São Paulo, at the iconic Passagem Literária — an underground space located at the intersection of Rua da Consolação and Avenida Paulista.
Rukin kidnapped waste and transformed it into paint, questioning how this precarious condition redefines and tensions the artistic relationship with material.
The research emerges from the deconstruction and reconstruction of what has been discarded — reintegrating it as an object of art and reflection.
Consumer society produces a trail of traces it attempts to erase at all costs: residues generated from production to disposal, rendered invisible by convenience.
The silent global pact that sustains the consumption lifestyle is, at its core, contrary to everything sustainable and organic.
Circular production, aligned with nature, is not merely an alternative — it is an urgency.
This is the second work in the Poster — Calendar series, inspired by the Chinese horoscope. 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse.

In an event promoted by ABRACES (Brazilian Association of Cluster Headache and Migraine), art becomes a powerful tool for raising awareness about migraine — a condition that affects approximately one billion people worldwide.
In After the Brain Storm, Rukin reflects on the dualities of the brain. The work is divided into two colors that move in harmony.
On one side, a pink background evokes the storm. Clouds gather, lightning, rain and wind intertwine in a spiral. Stars and sharp objects compose a scene that captures the intensity of the crisis.
On the opposite side, a soft water-green emerges as a whisper of healing and hope. This side represents the relief that follows the storm — though the brain still carries traces of pain, like scars that speak of resilience and transformation.
Mural created in the Kids' Space of a residential building in Pinheiros, São Paulo. The title 2225 evokes a distant future where human beings and nature live in full harmony. The mural aims to inspire future generations about the importance of caring for the Earth — for overcoming the challenges and adversities of the present is essential to redirect humanity toward a more sustainable and luminous future.
