Rukin lives and works in São Paulo. His creative process begins with what gets thrown away — objects and people alike — and carries a formal rigor drawn from twenty years in graphic design, a rigor that loosened over time until error became material.
In 2024 he presented the solo exhibition Multiplicidades at Passagem Literária da Consolação, São Paulo, Brazil — an inquiry that carried over into the group exhibition Sociedade do Descarte at the same venue (September 2025 – March 2026). His first solo show, Voodoo é pra jacú, opened in 2019 at Porão da Cerveja, São Paulo, Brazil.
He spent thirteen years in Japan (2004–2018), sustaining a practice in drawing and painting alongside factory work and exhibiting at art fairs in Tokyo. He graduated in Graphic Design from FAAP, São Paulo, Brazil in 1993.
